Good game, but whynot more planes ?!

Was looking for a flying app that I could just explore worlds. It was ok for about 3 minutes then my plane crashed and I can not take off again. Ive tried everything. I had this app for less than 5 minutes and its useless. I paid $2.99 for this junk!!! Want my money back!

This is a basic flight simulator application, not many dials and gauges but that leaves lots of room for the detailed simulation screen. Like the other reviewer, I too crashed my plane after three minutes (its a talent). Recovery is straight forward; just press the reset button (looks like a rewind to start) and you are back to where you started. Ive had no problems in restarting or recovering from my lack of flying prowess. The planes are easy to control and a lot of fun to fly around (into) obstacles both in the air and on the ground. The different planes are quite diverse in terms of flying characteristics. I really liked the free-view mode on the display so I can look around as I am flying, as well as being able to change the view during playback. Nice to have: 1. an altimeter since it is otherwise a bit of a challenge to determine your height from the ground. 2. more island (or islands) to fly over would be nice 3. an overview map of the island 4. more planes Overall, a simple, basic flight simulator with excellent graphics and a lot of fun to fly.

Hello. I kind of want more planes like the Spitfire or the Gotha Bomber or maybe like a Boeing 757 or something. Anyways, all Im saying is Im bored of the other planes like the Hellcat and the C-47 Dakota and also the C-130. (Yes I know my planes). Thanks!

The tilt controls arent very much fun to play with, the plane doesnt perform very realistically, but the worst part is the constant crashing. Every time you try to switch planes, it crashes. Other reviews mention better games to look at, I would suggest people do exactly that...

Its nice to see the developers update this again after two years. I hope they continue to enhance it. The new version feels smoother, and the graphics are more detailed. I love the cockpit view on the Hellcat, and wish they would add that to other planes too. The new planes are a lot of fun. The MiG 15 should satisfy all the people who asked for a jet, and my son says the Berkut is pretty cool. My only complaint is that the Bombardier 415 is a seaplane and should be able to land on water, but it cant in the game.

I have all the flying simulators and this one is still the best and nothing else is close. I agree with the other reviewers that the physics are a bit different, and this makes flying the old planes not as much fun for me. I am hoping when I upgrade my iPad the physics will be better. I purchased all the new planes. It takes awhile to see the nuances and to appreciate the nuances of different planes on PocketWings--I havent seen it yet in any except the two jets, which are a lot of fun. There are some differences in the island, and I hope weird things continue to happen, and that I continue to see weird things on PocketWings. I am not going to name what is probably the most popular simulator at the Apple Store. But I definitely have it and and the new version of PocketWings still definitely beats it by a mile, even if I definitely prefer pre-update. I didnt buy all those planes because I wanted them, but to support the developer, because I have gotten way more than my moneys worth from PocketWings.

A fun, stripped down flight simulator.

This update was fantastic! The physics are a little different but I got used to it. I would like to see more points of view on aircrafts. I liked the old version when I could zoom further away from the plane

This game is overall very good but I think you guys need to add an altimeter on the GUI. Its on of the primary flight instruments.

This game is addicting to play. Even after you explore everything, its still a lot of fun! It is worth the money no doubt!

I love this game. It is fun and easy to play. May I ask if you could add a dogfight mode that you con turn on or off in the option menu. With the dogfight mode on you can be the camel Fokker dr1 and the hell cat and a Japanese zero if you add it to the game. It could work were if you were flying the camel you could fly around the island a shoot red Fokker triplanes and the other way around with the red Fokker triplane. If you do ad a dogfight mode make it nothing extreme like onslaughts but just 1 or to 3 enemy planes attacking you. It would be cool to ad a Japanese zero. This game is amazing just add a option for a littal combat if wanted by the player. Thanks

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!!! Sure it would be nice to have more add ons but boy you sure gave us a lot of flying enjoyment. Add ons could be more planes.

Cant control it. Wasted 5 dollars

This app is so cool so far I saw a UFO lava and birds and when you go through the bridge at the beginning every plane changes color and its design I did it with every plane it was a little hard though it took me acouple trys to do it with the big ones - ). / ( /--(--------I - ------that my air plane Im bad - ). My son loves this game. Its a simple flight simulator with easy controls and forgiving physics. There is a broad landscape to fly around in, with various features like barns and sky rings to fly through. There are a handful of planes to fly. Theres no set objective or missions, you just fly around. As I said, my son loves it.

Great app! 1. Start the sim 2. Turn ninety degrees right 3. Get over the river and follow it (inland!) 4. Go under the bridge you will soon see. 5. Enjoy your new plane!

Very boring. I tried to find a way to get a refund after 5 minutes of playing. Planes response is very twitchy. Trying to fly through a ring or land makes me dizzy. If they offered a free version of this game to try it out, no one would buy it.
